Physical DescriptionOpaque very dark purple, appearing black in reflected light (matrix); opaque yellow, light green, blue, red, and black (inlays). Probably cast; then inlaid, and ground and polished. Fragment from wall or floor of shallow vessel. Inner surface inlaid with lotus pod, two stems, parts of two unidentified elements, and six circular motifs. Lotus pod is green with yellow details; stems consist of two parallel curving lines, one green and one yellow; unidentified elements are yellow; circular motifs (D. 0.5-0.7 cm) have red dot at center, and inner black and outer yellow concentric rings. Interior and exterior surfaces preserve concentric marks of rotary polishing.
