Physical DescriptionColorless. Blown; facet- and linear-cut, and abraded. Fragment from wall of vessel, perhaps with hemispherical body or lower body. Wall apparently curves down and in and merges with rounded base. Decoration consists of narrow linear cuts, and one circular and eight oval facets, each of which is small and hollow, and framed or partly framed by abraded band (W. 0.1–0.2 cm). Upper section of fragment has part of indeterminate hatched motif, below which are two adjacent facets (L. 2 cm) linked by one pair of short incised lines; above these lines, edges of facets are plain, but below them they are abraded. Two smaller oval facets (L. of complete example 1.1 cm) occupy part of lower wall. Bottom of wall is decorated with oval facets (L. 1.3 cm) alternating with pairs of incised lines, apparently part of a continuous band, which may have contained nine or 10 facets and pairs of lines, and which surrounded a circular or subcircular facet (D. 2 cm) at center of base.Provenance
