Physical DescriptionTranslucent medium grey-blue background with canes of opaque white, opaque red, opaque yellow, translucent green and translucent yellow-green glass, bubbly, dull surface; mosaic glass or millefiori technique, cut and polished. Slice of a large inlay plaque preserving a half of a female head, fragment preserves portion of the forehead in white with a yellow-green horizontal garland, above are spiral canes of red with blue-green curls in which a cluster of grapes and grape leaves are delineated; the grape clusters is a series of yellow circles in a blue-green matrix; the two leaves preserved in the hair are yellow-green canes cased with yellow while the two leaves outside the hair on the blue background are translucent green.Provenance
