Physical DescriptionApplied and hotworked; linear-cut, with openwork and minimal slant cutting. Fragment of vertical thumb-rest from top of handle. Fragment (Th. 0.15–0.25 cm) is flat or almost flat, has two keyhole-shaped vertical perforations (H. 1.7 cm, Max. W. 0.8 cm), and is decorated on one face
only. Decoration is symmetrical about vertical axis. It consists of, between perforations, vertical element
(W. 0.3 cm) embellished with crescent-shaped notches; outside perforations, two elongated S-shaped elements covered with groups of vertical and horizontal cuts, which terminate at top in outward-facing birds’ heads, shown in profile, with hooked beaks and eyes consisting of countersunk dots defined by slant cutting.
