The following was provided by Susanne K. Frantz via email on January 18, 2022: “I acquired them when I lived in Prague for five years (1999 - 2005) researching the development of sculpture in glass in Bohemia between the two world wars. [. . .] During my years in the Czech Republic I made a habit of combing the second-hand stores everywhere I went. The figures were found in one of those. As you can imagine, I found quite a few treasures.”
