Physical DescriptionFragmentary base of dish or bowl. Bottom of wall is straight and descends at very shallow angle, floor is almost flat; underside of base is slightly convex and has low foot ring; large annular pontil mark (D. 2.4 cm). Glass has many small bubbles. Floor has scratch-engraved ornament: roundel (D. 5.3. cm) with edge consisting of chain motif between outer and inner pairs of border lines, and center decorated with large quatrefoil with central hatched circle and four detached oval leaves, which are also hatched, between each pair of leaves, small hatched trefoil; all hatching is tranverse.
