Physical DescriptionRim plain, with rounded lip; wall vertical. Exterior has two horizontal bands of scratch engraved ornament: upper band, just below rim, is narrow and consisted of ground line from which extend groups of three short vertical lines; lower band, is broad and occupies most of wall; it has pair of border lines at top and small part of one border line survives at bottom; between borders, fragment preserves head of bird shown in profile facing right, with hatched circular eye and hatched open beak; in front of and below bird's head are stem- and leaf-like motifs, and small circles, which are also hatched.
