Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved, cut. Conical, straight-sided bowl; cut band of circular facets below the rim; the sides covered with an engraved continuous landscape, including two elaborate fountains, one with a putto riding a dolphin on top of an elaborately terraced hill, with multiple water jets at the sides; on the opposite side, two putti at the lyre, spouting water, in a shell-shaped basin; trees and people in between; undulating band of circular facets above deeply- carved oval panels; stem with three mereses above an inverted baluster knop containing an air bead; cut panels and circular facets on the sides, four mereses below; circular foot with two bands of cut facets, with an undulating band of stylized foliage between; rough pontil mark; crudely inscribed in white paint "496".
