Physical DescriptionTransparent amethyst glass with colorless streak, bubbly; probably sagged, tooled and lathe-cut. Shallow bowl; rim, rounded by grinding, flares up and slightly out from body, which bulges, then curves in toward bottom; base slightly concave. On body, forty-eight irregular, more or less vertical ribs descend from immediately below rim towards bottom, but most taper and disappear above base. Obvious tool marks below rim. Interior has wide lathe-cut groove, 1.8 cm below rim.
