Physical DescriptionBowl. Base of transparent greenish, fading into amber body, fading into cobalt rim, applied opalescent trailing; interior iridized blue (appearing opaque) glass; blown, hot-worked, iridized. Low wide bowl, with irregularly ruffled wide rim; shallow body heavily iridized blue on interior and decorated on exterior with applied opalescent trail pulled into a band of double-pointed feathers; flattened base, pontil has caused slight protrusion on interior; ground and polished pontil; scattered pitting in surface; inscribed on pontil trademark of two crossed arrows with four stars inside a circle; on outside edge of pontil inscribed in script: "Lötz"; two paper labels on base, smaller with brown Art Nouveau style border, (barely visible) "636/fs.-"; larger label has red border, written in ink: "Fr. Paris/Exposition/1900/signed/Lötz Fr. glass/20.00".
