Physical DescriptionClear glass with many minute bubbles; free-blown and enameled. Straight-sided body slightly tapering downward to concave base with rough pontil mark; on the body, in multicolored "peasant type" enameling, a frieze; on the obverse a man in a red coat and a blue hat holding a goblet in his right hand, and flanked by two multicolored flower stalks and spiral motifs, on the reverse, (in two lines: "liebe Du mich allein oder las gar sein" (Love me alone, or leave it altogether), the frieze is framed at top by a red band and a U-shaped line, and at the bottom by a white and blue line, two blue lines separating the two lines of inscription.
