Physical DescriptionYellow, semi-opaque white glass, tin, leather. The flat, rectangular No. 200 size tin is enameled blue on the exterior and yellow on the interior and has a decal of children playing marbles on the cover and an orange and white trademark with a flying crow in the center and "SHOOT STRAIGHT/AKRO/AGATES/AS A KRO FLIES" in the upper right corner. It contains what seem to be the original 3 yellow cardboard trays and a small leather kneepad as well as a photocopy of the original playing instructions and information about organizing marble tournaments. The instructions are dated 1931. There are 25 (1.5 cm to 1.7 cm) Popeye marbles, 8 are blends. There are 25 (1.5 cm to 1.7 cm) ribbon corkscrews including two rare lines. The 8 shooters are all 2-2.1 cm, four of them are 4- ribbon corkscrews (all rare) the other four are 3 color corkscrews. The final 8 marbles are 4 yellow flinties and 4 semi-opaque white marbles. The tin also contains an original knee-pad and a xeroxed copy of the Ringer Instructions.Provenance
