Physical DescriptionTransparent dark amethyst non-lead glass; mold-blown, enameled. Square cross-section, with flat faces; rounded shoulders; short, flared rim; stylized enameled flowers at the shoulders; the sides with rounded white frames, each enclosing a figure: an old man, wearing a blue robe, seated on a stool, warming his hands at a fire, inscribed above "Winder Anno 1692"; another with a young woman in green dress, seated on a blue wall, holding flowers in one hand, a basket in the other, inscribed above "fruhling"; another a partly-robed woman, holding a sickle in one arm, grain in the other, a flowering plant alongside, inscribed above "Somer"; and on the fourth, a woman wearing only a green skirt, holding bunches of grapes in her hands, inscribed above "herbst"; the bottom slightly concave; with rough pontil mark.
