Physical DescriptionGoblet. Clear glass with few bubbles and impurities; free-blown, tooled, cut and engraved. Plain conical foot with pontil mark supports a double inverted baluster stem, followed by a flat knob and two disks on which tall funnel bowl rests; upper baluster has red slightly twisted ribbons; cut ovals on top of first baluster, upper baluster cut in facets, bottom of bowl cut in short flutes, surrounded by arches and separated by spikes and dots; engraved decoration covers bowl above flutes: upper part shows heart-like festoons consisting of bands (Bandelwerk), plants and grapes, lower part has a frieze of large volutes, consisting of bands and ending in leaves, together with plants and dots; a ring below rim.
