Flattened elliptical shape; cylindrical neck; no collar; mold marks on sides and across flat base; obverse: profile of a man in uniform facing left, within an oval, inscribed "GEN. TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS" above profile: "DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS PHILADA" inscribed above oval frame; reverse: Washington wearing a toga or drape facing left, inscribed "THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY" above his head, within an oval frame enclosing the whole design; no pontil mark.Provenance
