Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut, stipple engraved; engraved sheet silver mount. Round-funnel bowl, facet-cut at the base; faintly stipple-engraved peasant scene on the side of the bowl, of a man seated on a barrel, a woman on a large sack, the man tickling the woman's chin; inscribed below "W A van Heemskerck / fec:" in script stippling; panel-cut stem with two angular knops; lower half of the stem covered with a six-sided silver sleeve, top ending in scalloping; panels decorated with engraved scrolls; conical foot; rough pontil mark.
