Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Straight-sided, tapered bowl, with rounded base; cut rounded facets around the rim; and oval facets at the base of the bowl; elaborately engraved and partly polished crowned coat of arms, with eagles perched on trophies of coats of arms at either side, with banners below bearing flying eagles, and inscribed "NEC SOLI CEDIT"; on the reverse, a multi-pointed star order, with circular panel at the center, bearing a flying eagle, inscribed in an arc above, "NEC.SOLI.CEDIT."; encircled by a chain of alternating crowned orbs inscribed "FR" and eagles, with cross medal suspended below; stem composed of a faceted disk knop, a larger faceted disk knop, a plain disk knop, an inverted baluster knop with cut hollow flutes and containing a long air bead, and a basal disk knop; circular foot with cut oval panels and faceted rim; finely polished pontil mark.Provenance
