Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved, cast pewter. Tall, cylindrical form, slightly incurved at the top; engraved decoration, including a matte border with polished ovals, and scalloped edges; floral swags tied with bows; oval panel on the front with the crowned initials "JK", with flowers above and at the sides; pyramids at either side entwined with growing vines; rounded foot rim; concave bottom with rough pontil mark; applied loop handle, curled at the lower terminal; hinged domed pewter lid attached to the handle, with a painted terminal; the cover with heavy vertical ribbing on the sides, two rings of beading above; engraved initials "J.K.P." on top; globular, beaded thumbpiece; pewter foot rim with band of notching.Provenance
