Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved. (a) Large round funnel bowl with engraved continuous landscape, including a battle scene, with three mounted horsemen firing pistols at one another, with a ruin on the opposite side; formal strapwork border below; tall stem composed of three mereses above a flattened ball knop, a merese and capstan, a large hollow inverted baluster, a flattened knop, two mereses, and a capstan; large circular disk foot with engraved scrolls and foliate swags, and the signature "Killinger fecit" in diamond-point script near the base of the stem; rough pontil mark. (b) Domed shape with folded rim and inset flange; engraved ribbon-edged panels, with sprays of foliage, two also with scenes of combat between pairs of mounted horsemen; multiple merese below a flattened knop and panel-cut pointed ovoid finial; rough pontil mark.Provenance
