Physical DescriptionColorless, shades of translucent and transparent green lead and non-lead glasses; base form was made by throwing clay on a potters wheel to form a cone with deep ridges, a plaster mold was made using 50 Hydrocal, 50 silica sand, 5% glass fibers, green glass cullet was poured into the mold and fused in a kiln; blown and hand-formed section of transparent green overlaid with colorless; sections adhered together. Vertical sculpture with solid cast "pot" in conical shape with deep ring ridges, pot has semi-opaque mottled green appearance with traces of white mold material; extending vertically from slightly off center of "pot" top surface is an elongated blown bubble with multiple slight lobes; no pontil; inscribed in script at edge of pot top surface near applied bubble: "Kathleen Mulcahy".
