Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; pressed, cut; molded, encased sulphide. Conical shape, with plain rim; panel-molded sides, with raised, pointed panels on the lower sides; front panel plain, with raised, cut, octagonal panel encasing a molded white ceramic (sulphide) of a robed man, holding a cross in his hand; a rectangular plaque with shell ends below the figure, inscribed in blue script "St Mathieu"; scroll supports below the panel; base of the sides ending in rounded projections, with ribbing between; flared, hexagonal foot, domed beneath, with polished flat rim.Provenance
