Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; mold-blown, cut; molded, encased sulphide. Tapered, straight-sided bowl, with plain rim; sides with elaborate molded decoration, including three panels of vertical staves, with stippled relief-molded squares between, separating two panels with elaborate scroll and shell motifs against stippled backgrounds, and a cut, pentagonal, convex panel enclosing a molded white sulphide male portrait bust, facing sinister, wearing a wreath of foliage, tied with a ribbon at the back; raised inscription "ANDRIEU F" at the base of the neck; wide, convex band below, encircling the sides; waisted stem with flared foot, with molded stylized foliage on the sides; hexagonal foot, deeply concave underneath, polished, flat rim.Provenance
