Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; cut; molded, encased sulphide; stamped metal; turned wood. Flat, circular shape, with slightly convex face, flat back; enclosing a molded white sulphide of a man wearing a lace stock, facing dexter; reverse impressed weakly "DESPREZ/Rue des Recolets,/No. 2, a Paris."; in a stamped metal frame with stylized foliate border; backed by black and blue paper disks; in a rectangular wood frame, stamped "26" at the upper left corner on the back; covered with black-painted paper; small serrated paper label on the upper right, on the back, inscribed in script "droite/bas"; nail and string for hanging.
