Physical DescriptionColorless glass; blown, enameled. Plain lip, outsplayed rim merging with wall which descends in shallow curve and then turns slightly inward just above bottom; Decorated in red enamel: one-third of way down, two opposed eight-pointed stars, each with open circle at center and finial-like embellishment to uppermost and lowest points; between them, two bands of geometric ornament, each consisting of two narrow horizontal bands filled with row of open circles; outer ends of bands are pointed; inner ends also pointed, and touching with upper border of one band descending to become lower border of the other; on lower part of body, dark gray and white paper label inscribed "J.&.L/LOBMEYR/WIEN"; tubular footrim made by folding; slightly concave base; no pontil-mark.Provenance
