Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut, polished. Globe with overall cut pattern of slightly concave diamonds (smallest at top and base); solid top has been flattened by cutting in petal shapes radiating from a small center circle, narrow beveled shoulder edge ringed with circle of teardrop shaped cuts that blend into diamonds covering the walls of sphere; triangles become large teardrops at wide open base edge; scalloped base ground and polished flat; inscribed in script on base: "Steuben".
