Physical DescriptionLight greenish-yellow glass, bubbly, some stone, patches of white iridescent weathering; blown, ground, decorated with frit, chunks, and trails of glass marvered into the surface. A simple shallow bowl with a thick rim ground flat and parallel to the bottom wall slopes into base, decoration in center is bird facing left with wing raised behind head as far as preserved. The body of the bird is translucent white glass, the wing light yellow, both are elaborated with short trails of amethyst glass outlining the body and wing, chunks of amethyst and light blue glass decorate the interior sections, a trail of amethyst defines the beak, the eye, the area behind the head.Provenance
