Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Thistle-shaped bowl, the upper straight section decorated with six rounded panels, each covered with an engraved scene: a naked child holds a crowned shield inscribed "FR", a shepherd stands before a woman playing a mandolin, two nude children embracing (one holding a palm frond, the other a sword and scales), a man and woman embracing (with a mandolin and sheep alongside), a naked child holding a crowned shield with engraved crowned eagle, and a woman playing a harp; band of triangular faceting below; bulbous base decorated with cut rounded flutes and scallops, faceted band, and a band of polished circles; stem composed of a faceted disk above an inverted baluster with cut ovals, scallops, and paneling, with a disk at the base; circular foot with cut oval faceting on bottom and engraved triangles on top at the rim; no pontil mark.
