Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut; sheet silver, engraved. Spreading, straight-sided cylindrical form; cut rim; the sides elaborately cut in cross-hatched arcs and triangles, diamond- faceted ovals, leaf shapes, scrolls, and an oval panel with engraved script "W" at the front; cross-cut bottom with ribbed triangles and central cross-cut octagon; applied loop handle with cut oval and rays; low, slightly domed silver cover, with beaded rim and ribbed sides, with engraved hinge straps, attached to the handle with a curved pad; hallmarked on the inside of the cover, "MD" in a rectangle and "13" in a rectangle.
