Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; copper decoration, copper plated metal; black plastic; mold-blown by machine, screen printed; a) conical shaped carafe; flared rim, machine finished edge and pinched lip, rim angled so lip at highest point; short cylindrical neck; metal band around neck, middle stamped with crosses and sprayed black; handle opposite lip, upside down "L" shape, "SILEX" molded into side at top, attached to neck by metal band and screws; body of carafe tapered and rounded out to bottom, bottom rounded in to base, crosses printed onto upper half of body, metal bumper around circumference near bottom of carafe, "PYREX® BRAND/LCR-12/MADE IN U. S. A. /FOR/THE SILEX CO. " printed onto body above metal bumper below handle; flat circular base; b) circular cover; cylindrical knob with pointed top, sides tapered in to cover; cover peaked in center; insert on underside of cover, sides of insert tapered in.Provenance
