Physical DescriptionOpalescent non-lead (?) glass; mold-blown, enameled, gilt. (a) Inverted baluster form, with flared neck, rounded shoulder, waisted sides, flared foot; elaborately decorated with enamels and gilding: gilt bands at the rim, blue-green bands below, on either side of a floral band; the sides with large oval blue panel with white lettering: "POT POURRI/HUMIDE"), complex floral sprays; scattered flowers on the reverse in gilt and polychrome enamels; elaborate gilt border at the base, with blue-green and gilt bands on the foot; flat base with polished pontil mark, stamped with a red oval mark, inscribed "LAUNAY.HAUTIN & CIE.1845" in the frame, and "ROBERT/aine/Sevres" within. (b) Elaborately domed form, with baluster finial on capstan stem; gilt bands, enameled bands, and gilt and enameled flowers matching those on (a); no pontil marks.Provenance
