Physical DescriptionColorless. Blown; relief-cut. Fragment from lower wall of bottle with globular body (TTh. 0.2–0.3 cm) with relief-cut decoration (Th. 0.1 cm). At bottom of fragment, horizontal rib, presumably lower border of frieze. Surviving part of frieze contains animal, shown in profile, moving from left to right. Animal lacks most of head, but has eye represented by countersunk dot, detached triangular ear(?), and possibly stem or leaf in mouth; neck is short, and body is slender; right front leg is short and has oval foot; right hind leg has large, tear-shaped haunch; tail is long and curves up and forward above animal’s back. Outlines of body are notched; “ear,” neck, and front foot are hatched.Provenance
