Physical DescriptionFragment of a Floral Plaque. Translucent greyish medium blue matrix with assorted canes of opaque red, opaque yellow, opaque white, translucent green, translucent yellow-green and translucent pale amethyst glass; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Similar to 51.1.232 C, roughly rectangular section of a well-formed plaque, no edges preserved, backed with wide strips of green, streamers of blue, red, amethyst and white. Design retains center of three fruit as preceding with central elegant stalk of yellow and opposing leaves, yellow- green on both sides but cased and divided by yellow, between the central stalk and the stalk to the left is the lower portion of a large heart-shaped bud with yellow tip, white and turbid white center, outlined in red, immediately below a small delicate flower with a honeycomb yellow center and six round pointed leaves.
