Physical DescriptionTransparent deep green, with small bubbles and at least one larger bubble (L. 0.4 cm). Blown; facet-cut, ground, and polished. Bottle: globular. Rim has flat top and narrow chamfer on outside; neck is short and slightly wider at top than at bottom; base is plain; pontil mark is represented by small scar. Neck and wall are decorated with flat facets: on neck, upper three-quarters cut in eight contiguous vertical, rectangular facets; on wall, three continuous horizontal rows of facets arranged in quincunx, with seven facets in each row; top row has horizontal oval facets, middle row has circular facets (one of which has broken bubble at surface), and bottom row has pentagonal facets; triangular spaces between some facets show no trace of cutting; two adjoining facets in bottom row have been cut back, perhaps to eliminate bubble or some other blemish. Neck and body have thick sides (0.5 cm at rim and 1.05 cm at base).Provenance
