Physical DescriptionClear, crackled glass; slight wear marks; free-blown, enameled, gilt and cut, with a crackled surface. (a) Flat, solid ring base, almost cylindrical body with curved shoulder and bottom and two remarkable indentations on both sides, small concave neck with flaring rim; branches in black and gold and two beetles on the body, base and rim; on base the signature in red: "E. Galle a Nancy". (b) Conical stopper with blade-like flange and ball finial, the upper part of which is cut in small flutes and the top cut; partly gilded (partly rubbed off).
