Physical DescriptionTransparent deep purple glass with reddish tinge in transmitted light; some small bubbles; blown, wheel-cut and polished. Fragment from wall of deep vessel with curving side, perhaps hemispherical; exterior has band of hollow-cut ornament between borders; upper border consists of broad horizontal groove with narrow groove above and below; lower border is single narrow groove; ornament consists of plump water fowl standing to left, in front of building with gabled roof; on ground in front of and behind bird, leaves on short stem; above and behind bird, longer spray of leaves.Provenance
