Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Rubber Ring and Cap. Aquamarine, opaque white non-lead glasses; mold-blown, pressed. Barrel shape; with ground lip, screw threads on neck, mold seam on each side; obverse embossed (nearly illegible): "MASON'S/ PATENT/NOV 30TH/1858"; base embossed "5"; red rubber ring; zinc cap with pressed opaque white glass liner, embossed "BOYD'S GENUINE PORCELAIN LINED CAP" around an "I" (probably for Illinois Glass Company).
