(a) Barrel shape; with ground lip, screw threads on neck, mold seam on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/ 1858"; base embossed "45". (b) Zinc cap with opaque white glass liner embossed "GENUINE ZINC CAP/FOR BALL MASON JARS".
