Physical DescriptionClear and transparent blue glass; free-blown, cut, overlaid, with gilded decoration. Flat foot; paneled straight-sided stem with paneled collar on top and disc; pointed funnel bowl; the bowl has been overlaid in blue and cut down to have eight rectangular panels with cut corners and a rosette-shaped part of the bottom of the bowl; the clear glass of the goblet is also cut to form a panel; the blue overlay is beveled and has a gilded edge; the rim of the goblet as well as the rim of the foot are gilded; arabesque-like tendril motifs in gold and yellow enamel decorate the clear part of the bowl and stem and form a wreath on the top of the foot.Provenance
