Physical DescriptionWhite, yellow, and red opaque glass, light green and light blue translucent glass; canes formed by fusing cased and uncased rods, then broken into slices; slices probably assembled into disk and fused; disk probably heated and cast in or over mold, then ground and polished; foot ring applied. Bowl with double-convex profile and foot ring. Rim short and outsplayed, with rounded edge; wall has narrow upper bulge and broader lower bulge; base slightly convex, with applied foot ring. Vessel consists of slices of canes with at least four different patterns, each composed of cased and uncased rods: (1) one rod of white cased with red and yellow, surrounded by eight rods of yellow cased with purple, all cased with purple; (2) one rod of red cased with yellow, surrounded by eight rods of green cased with yellow; (3) one rod of white cased with purple, white, and purple; (4) one rod of white cased with red and yellow, surrounded by two concentric circles, each containing about eight rods of white cased with blue.Provenance
