Physical DescriptionCanes of colorless glass with a blue-green tinge in an opaque white matrix, dull heavily weathered surface, cut in half and mounted on a piece of modern glass; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Fragment preserves a delicate overall pattern of circular, triangular and square canes with blue centers cased with white and in turn cased with blue which appear almost black in reflected light but almost colorless in transmitted light.
