Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Beaker with Inscription. Almost colorless, with greenish yellow tinge; small bubbles. Blown; linear-cut. Fragment of beaker(?). Wall (Th. 0.1 cm) is straight and tapers slightly. Linear-cut decoration consists of, on upper part of fragment, frieze containing Kufic inscription, in which letters have double lines and horizontal element is enlivened by diamond-shaped motif filled with crosshatching; bottom of frieze is indicated by two horizontal lines; 3.5 cm below these, single horizontal line may indicate top of second frieze or, more probably, is near bottom of wall.
