Physical DescriptionTransparent pale green glass with few minute bubbles and impurities; free-blown and enameled. Almost cylindrical body slightly tapering upwards and downwards with high pushed up base having very rough pontil mark, applied foot ring; enamel decoration: double headed eagle with yellow ring halos and blue orb surmounted by a crowned cross, the eagle in black, grey and white; on the wings multicolored coats of arms of the parts of the Holy Roman Empire, at the edge of the wings two flaming symbols, beside and between the eagles' heads, rosettes in blue and yellow, on the reverse: "Dasz Heylige Romische Reich Mit Sampt Seinen gliedern, 1681" in Gothic script; underneath, lozenge shaped ornaments of red, yellow and blue stripes accompanied by three rows of white dashes on the foot ring.Provenance
