Physical DescriptionBeaker. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, double-walled, gilt, silvered, painted. Tapered, straight-sided, cylindrical shape; double-walled, with the inner and outer glasses meeting at the top rim; inset flat disk in the bottom; gilt, silvered and painted decoration between the two glasses; plain gilt band at the rim; a continuous boar hunting scene on the sides, the scene in polychrome colors, on silver, with a mounted horseman with drawn sword pursuing a dog and boar; two hunters holding spears confront the boar at the right; scattered trees in the background band of gilt stylized acanthus leaves below; gilt plain band at the bottom; base with gilt flying bird, encircled by a wreath of flowers and foliage; the basal disk covered with a non-uniform red resin coating.
