Physical DescriptionColorless, opaque white and dark blue non-lead glass; blown, cut; sulphide; gilded metal mounts. Blue overlay on white, on colorless; cylindrical rim, bulbous band, waisted below, with large swelling at base and cylindrical foot; cut horizontal ribs on neck; cut oval and slanting facets below; cut panels topped with trefoils, ending in foliate motifs at base; star-cut base; applied panel-cut colorless loop handle; gilded metal frame holding a circular glass plaque containing a sulphide female head; shell-shaped latch; hinged to handle mount.Provenance
