Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. (a) Tapered, panel-cut bowl (12 panels); engraved bucolic scene (polished engraving) of a shepherd seated beside a tree, playing bagpipes, with sheep grazing around him, another shepherd plays a pipe, with several buildings nearby; faceted baluster stem with merese above and below; circular foot with engraved floral wreath; rough pontil mark; former collection number "28" in cream paint on pontil mark; (b) domed form with facet-cut sides; engraved floral wreath encircling base of finial; panel-cut pointed finial; rough pontil mark.
