Physical DescriptionFlask Shaped like a Palm Column. Deep cobalt blue glass matrix, bubbly with black stone and flakes of opaque dull brick-red material, applied trails of opaque white and opaque yellow; core-formed, trail-decorated, tooled. Short cylindrical rim decorated with an applied and marvered-in yellow trail, rises up out of nine rounded palm leaves which have been tooled and worked out of the almost cylindrical body to form the capital of the column; the edge of the leaf is decorated with a white trail, marvered into the surface, no the underside, yellow trail left in relief bisects each leaf; the capital is divided from column shaft by alternating relief trails of three white and three yellow glass; the shaft spreads out toward the base and is decorated with twenty-two alternating trails of white and yellow marvered in and dragged alternately up and down to form a feathered or festooned pattern; the base is almost flat, bottom edge is highlighted with a yellow trail wound several times over itself and marvered in.
