Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved. Tapered, straight- sided shape with two engraved male portraits framed with foliate wreaths, one a man in armor, inscribed "FERDINAND, D.G. MAG. PR. ETRVRIAE.", the other inscribed "COSMVS. III. D.B. MAGNVS. DVX. ETRVRIAE. VI"; the reverse with a crowned coat of arms (Medici) of six polished circular facets, the top one containing three fleur-de-lis, framed by crossed palm fronds; the base with an engraved coat of arms and inscribed (to be read from the inside): DI DOPPIA MAESTA MI CELA IL GUARDO", encircled with a stylized foliate wreath.
