Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Beaker with Bird. Transparent bright green over colorless; both with very small bubbles, and green glass has specks of scale. Blown, applied or cased; relief-cut. Fragment of beaker(?). Wall (TTh. 0.25 cm) straight, perhaps tapering. Decorated in relief in both green (Th. 0.1 cm) and colorless base glass: near center of fragment, standing green bird, shown mainly in outline, facing left, with thin neck, folded wing with dot on covert and feathers indicated by hatching, triangular or wedge-shaped tail, and one or two legs; to left of bird, one detached vertical line; on either side of bird, colorless curvilinear elements with some notched outlines; below these motifs, part of continuous horizontal rib, which is also colorless.Provenance
