Physical DescriptionHalf of Mosaic Plaque with Golden Courtesan. Translucent medium gray-blue glass background with canes of opaque white, opaque red, opaque yellow, translucent aquamarine and translucent yellow-green glass; mosaic glass or millefiori technique, cut and repolished recently. Slice of a large inlay plaque preserving half of a female head; the face and eye modeled in opaque white with features in blue, lips and hair in red, delineation of hair yellow-green above a stylized floral filet in yellow with an oval jewel in aquamarine at the center, all on a medium gray-blue ground.
