Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt. (a) Tall, cylindrical form, the sides slightly rounded toward the top, waisted toward the bottom; enameled and gilt decoration, with elaborate white and black scrollwork borders, with gold-ribbed panels, at top and bottom; a colorful coat of arms on the side, with a black eagle in the left side, white antler on red-orange on the right, with black, white and red orange mantling flowing from a crowned helmet; formal gold-ribbed, black and white motif on the reverse; scattered white dots between; spreading rounded foot with black and white dashes; recessed base with interlaced "JIL/B" mark at the center; fragmentary paper label printed "...waren Niederlage.../J. & L. Lo[bmeyr]" and an illegible ink inscription. (b) Domed form with angular rim and inset slightly flared brim; enameled and gilt to match the borders on (a); ball finial on a spreading disk; enameled and gilt decoration.Provenance
